Bingo caller
Draws from 1 to 75, never repeats a number, and keeps every call on screen so a disputed line can be checked rather than argued about.
Why the history is the important part
Every game of bingo ends the same way: somebody calls a line and somebody else says that number was never called. A caller that shows only the current ball cannot settle it, and the game stops while everybody tries to remember.
So the full sequence stays on screen, in call order, with the most recent first. Checking a claimed line takes a few seconds and the game continues.
The draw is a shuffle rather than a repeated random pick. That guarantees no repeat by construction, instead of drawing again and hoping — and it means the sequence has a definite end at seventy-five calls rather than an increasingly long search for the last unclaimed number.
Calling a game
Numbers are announced with their column letter — "B seven", "O sixty-nine" — because that is what tells a player which column to look in, and on a five by five card it cuts the search from twenty-five squares to five.
Leave a couple of seconds between calls with children and rather less with adults, who will tell you if it is too slow. The pace matters more than anything else about calling.
Nothing here makes a sound, deliberately. A caller that speaks over the person calling is worse than one that does not, and a room where the machine is louder than the caller is a room where nobody hears either.
Common questions
How does an online bingo caller work?
It shuffles the numbers 1 to 75 into a random order once, then hands them out one at a time. That is what guarantees no repeats — the sequence is fixed at the start rather than drawn again each time.
Does the bingo caller work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded it makes no further requests, so it keeps calling on a train, in a village hall or on a network that has blocked everything else.
Why are bingo numbers called with a letter?
Because each column holds its own block of fifteen numbers, so the letter tells a player which of the five columns to look in. It turns searching twenty-five squares into searching five.
